As the New Year begins, I’ve been reflecting on how to bring more calm, connection, and intention into my life. It’s easy to get caught up in the rush of daily routines, isn’t it? I wanted to create something simple yet meaningful to help me—and all of us—slow down and reconnect.  That’s why I’m so excited to introduce the 30 Days of Mindful Moments with Herbs Challenge!

This challenge combines two of my favourite things: mindfulness and herbs. Over the next month, we’ll explore how small daily rituals with herbs can help us feel more grounded, inspired, and connected to ourselves and nature. I’d love for you to join me on this journey!


What is the 30 Days of Mindful Moments with Herbs Challenge?

The challenge is simple: every day, we’ll focus on one herb and a mindfulness practice inspired by it. These practices are designed to fit into your daily life, whether it’s sipping a soothing cup of tea, reflecting on your inner strength, or enjoying the refreshing scent of mint.

Each day will also include a practical tip or recipe to help you explore the herb in a hands-on way.

This is about taking a few moments for yourself—5 to 10 minutes a day—to breathe, reflect, and create a calming ritual.  By the end of this herbal mindfulness challenge, you’ll not only feel more connected to yourself but also gain a deeper appreciation for the beauty and power of herbs.

  2. Make Time for Yourself: These practices are simple and adaptable. Find a quiet moment in the morning, during a break, or before bed to enjoy the ritual.

Day 1 Lavender Ground yourself with lavender tea. Lavender tea recipe: 1 tsp dried buds, steep for 5–7 mins.
Day 2 Rosemary Reflect on your strengths. Make rosemary-infused oil for cooking.
Day 3 Dandelion Focus on resilience. Roast dandelion root and brew it as a tea.
Day 4 Ginger Feel its warmth spreading through your body. Fresh ginger tea: Add slices to hot water.
Day 5 Sage Clear mental clutter with sage. Create a sage mist with water + essential oil.
Day 6 Mint Reflect on what energises you. Make a mint spritzer for a refreshing boost, or try our dandelion flower and mint lemonade recipe
Day 7 Chamomile Write one thing you’re grateful for. Chamomile tea with honey for relaxation.
Day 8 Peppermint Set an intention for the day. Inhale peppermint oil for focus.
Day 9 Lemon Balm Reflect on calm energy while sipping tea. Brew lemon balm tea for positivity.
Day 10 Nettle Visualise nourishment with nettle infusion. Make a mineral-rich nettle infusion.
Day 11 Basil Brainstorm your priorities for the day. Try a basil pesto recipe.
Day 12 Cinnamon Reflect on what motivates you. Brew a warming cinnamon spiced tea.
Day 13 Thyme Focus on its scent and texture. Create thyme-infused honey for cooking.
Day 14 Ginkgo Reflect on awareness and clarity. Brew ginkgo tea for mental focus.
Day 15 Chamomile Release tension with deep breaths before bed. Blend chamomile with valerian for a sleep tea.
Day 16 Valerian Prepare for restful sleep with calming music. Brew valerian root tea before bed.
Day 17 Passionflower Reflect on peace in your life. Brew passionflower tea for relaxation.
Day 18 Parsley Reflect on growth and renewal. Add fresh parsley to meals or brew as tea.
Day 19 Lemon Verbena Reflect on what makes you feel light. Brew a lemon verbena and mint tea blend.
Day 20 Holy Basil (Tulsi) Focus on calm productivity while sipping tea. Brew tulsi tea for balanced energy.
Day 21 Hops Visualise restful sleep with a dream pillow. Make a hops and lavender dream sachet.
Day 22 Sage Set an intention for renewal. Burn sage or use a sage mist for clarity.
Day 23 Calendula Reflect on healing in your life. Make calendula-infused oil for skin care.
Day 24 Rose Reflect on love and self-care. Brew rose and hibiscus tea for the heart.
Day 25 Yarrow Focus on boundaries in your life. Brew yarrow tea for grounding.
Day 26 Elderflower Reflect on renewal while sipping tea. Make elderflower cordial for a refreshing drink.
Day 27 Lemon Balm Reflect on positivity and joy. Brew lemon balm and peppermint tea.
Day 28 Peppermint Visualise refreshing change. Make a peppermint lip balm.
Day 29 Lavender Reflect on the past 28 days. Create a lavender bath soak with Epsom salts.
Day 30 Your Favourite Herb Celebrate with your favourite herb! Create your own herbal ritual and share it!

For me, herbs have always been more than just plants—they’re a source of comfort, connection, and inspiration. Combining them with mindfulness allows us to create small rituals that have a big impact on our daily lives and well-being.
